fall florals + monochrome
Okay, y'all, after one UT loss (c'mon horns) and one LSU win (geaux tigers!), we are more than ready for a new week! The weather this weekend was an absolute dream - we got to pair our favorite shorts + dresses of the summer with long sleeve tops + jackets. Transitioning to fall is pretty easy when the weather down South wants to get on board!
Fall in Texas means we hold on to our florals just a tad bit longer, but it also means we give those florals a little flair. Mackenzie's Free People dress is such a great transition piece - you can dress is up or down. The dark blue hues paired with her rich purple suede jacket, which is absolute perfection, really adds fall feels to this outfit. Adding a touch of suede or a pair of booties to this summer dress really turns it up for fall!
It appears I have a thing for the classic, monochrome outfits this season. I am incredibly guilty of owning a dozen white button downs, but I just can't help it - they are perfect and simple, and go with everything! Lace-up flats are my favorite way to dress up an outfit in a super comfy way, and this gold bib pops against the white collared shirt. These leather shorts are my absolute favorite for fall and winter here in the Lone Star State, but switching them out for black skinnies or slacks makes this outfit perfect for work!
